– what happens when the brain meets art?

What is beauty, and why does it move us? What happens in the brain when we look at a painting, hear music, or watch a dancer move?

In this talk, artist and Assistant Professor in Neuroscience Andrea Moreno from Aarhus University dives into the neuroscience of beauty and art. We’ll explore how the brain responds to symmetry, color, pattern, and emotion. What does it mean when something “feels right” or “takes our breath away”? And is beauty simply in the eye of the beholder—or hardwired into our biology?

By looking at art through the lens of the brain, we begin to see not just what beauty is, but why it matters.

The event will be in English.
